Privacy policy
How Serving East London collects, uses and protects your information.
What we collect
- Your Discord ID, username, avatar and (if you allow it) email address when you sign in with Discord.
- The roleplay name, real date of birth and Steam profile link you give us when applying.
- Game identifiers (Discord, FiveM licence, Steam) and session times when you join our game server.
- Things you create in the FMS: duty sessions, reports, forum posts, messages and applications.
Why we use it
- To check you meet our requirements (age, Steam account, GTA V ownership) and approve your whitelist.
- To give you the right Discord roles and set your nickname to your shoulder number and roleplay name.
- To run the community: duty records, training, moderation and keeping members safe.
Who can see it
- Your date of birth and Steam link are visible only to whitelist staff.
- Moderation records and staff notes are visible only to authorised staff.
- When you apply, your Discord ID is checked against STORM Systems' community reputation service (through Matrix FMS, which runs this FMS). Only your Discord ID is sent; we receive your reputation score and any deductions.
- We never sell your data or share it outside the community, except where required by law.
How long we keep it
- If you leave our Discord your account is deactivated. After 5 days your personal data can be purged; operational records are anonymised.
- The FMS is backed up every night. Backups are kept for 14 days, so purged data disappears from them after that.
- Encrypted copies of the backups are also kept with our storage provider, and deleted on the same schedule.
- You can ask staff to delete your data at any time by opening a ticket.
